Plantagenet Wines Dinner



Plantagenet Wines is the oldest winery in the Great Southern region of Western Australia with vineyards first planted in 1968 producing distinctive cool climate wines of elegance, purity and complexity focusing on Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Plantagenet has five pioneer vineyards located in the sub-region of Mount Barker with a climate heavily influenced by the Southern Ocean.

Wine dinner presented by Senior Winemaker Luke Eckersley and General Manager Tom Wisdom.

Luke believes a great wine is born in the vineyard, in that its potential has already been predetermined by the time it reaches the winery. It is the task of the winemaker, to understand this potential and then, from the fruit selected, craft a wine that allows this potential to be truly expressed.

Tom is a member of the Samson Family which owns Plantagenet as part of the Lionel Samson Sadleirs Group, the second oldest family owned company in Australia first established in Fremantle in 1829
